I am a graduate student in the Department of History at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. My research interests include 19th and 20th century U.S. history, intellectual history, cultural history, and the history of education. I have an MA in the Study of Religions from SOAS, University of London, and I received my BA from Bowdoin College. Before coming to Madison I spent five years working as a middle school social studies teacher in New York City. I was born in Ripon, Wisconsin, in 1984.
